Doherty Designs was started in January 1989 by Maureen Doherty. Landscapes and landmarks are depicted in her counted cross-stitch designs. Her charts and kits have been sold to stores and individuals nationwide. Maureen also enjoyed speaking to stitch groups and attended trunk shows throughout the Pacific Northwest.
As a designer, Maureen has been featured in profile articles in Just Cross Stitch Magazine in February 1991 and the March/April 1992 issue of Cross Stitch and Country Crafts Magazine.
Maureen was also featured in the Oregonian newspaper, in the Valley Times newspaper, and on KATU-TV Channel 2 News "Spirit of the Northwest."
Maureen's designs highlight the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, with cross stitch patterns that showcase many local landmarks along the Oregon coast.
