Who does not love a gradient?
As a colorist there is not much I love more than the movement of one hue into another and all the magical places they create in between! The definition of gradient is exactly that, the movement of colors. It could be an ombre’ gradient which is the gradual blending of one color to another, using tints and shades from light to dark or a color progression which is a range of position dependent colors, like blues into greens. There are all kinds of ways to get from one color to another.
What you’ll find here is a range of subtle ombre gradients moving from the darker end of a hue to the lighter end of that spectrum the movement of one color gradually into another and also color progression gradients, hues moving at different speeds from one into another. It’s pretty easy to tell the difference bit the ones that are Ombre’ will be marked as such. These kits use our light and lovely Featherlight yarn. Featherlight is a single ply finger-weight, with the perfect balance between softness and twist like a feather dancing on a breeze. I love a good single-ply yarn and am thrilled to add Featherlight to the Blue Moon line-up!
Our Featherlight Gradient kits are just begging to be turned into all kinds of lovely shawls and scarves.
